Initials SS

I don't usually remember my dreams once some time has passed, and so this is very fragmentary, but earlier this week I was dreaming about some moment in a time of rising fascism, I forget all the context, and in the dream there was a character who was vaguely menacing but it felt like no one else could clearly see it, and for some forgotten reason I had to shorten their name down to the initials (along with some other peoples), and it was SS. And it felt like that was the moment some of the other people in the dream realized what was actually happening. It wasn't exactly a nightmare, but it did wake me up.
